Why the "Alternative" Bears?

The Alternative Bears of Edmonton is not in any way in conflict with or
challenging the legitimacy of the Edmonton "B.E.A.R.S" group, we're simply
offering what our name suggests -- an ALTERNATIVE place & group of
guys to hang out with and have fun being around!

Basically, we're a bunch of furry, masculine Gay (or Bi) men (and a lot of their friends) who enjoy getting together to have FUN (i.e. swimming, coffee, movies)! This is not intended to be a "sex club".

Some of the things we do when we get together are:

We go swimming..

Every Saturday we go to Eastglen Pool for the Adult (as in no kiddies allowed) swim. 11:00p.m. to 1:00a.m. It's a small (around $4) fee for the pool,and a couple of quarters for the locker. There's a large, saltwater pool, hot-tub, and steam room.
